Official communication storm approaching

Press Releases

Decameron Hotels understands that the current weather conditions may lead some guests to reconsider their travel plans. With this in mind, we are pleased to offer our guests the following Flexibility Policy, which allows them to reschedule their reservations without penalty or rate difference, for as long as necessary, provided the same conditions of the initial reservation are maintained (same hotel, same season, same cycle of days, and the same number and type of guests) at all our resorts in Jamaica.

In the event that a Storm Warning is issued for the destination (as defined by the official meteorological authority) during the dates of affected reservations, we will offer our guests the following options for their convenience:

• Guests who choose to cancel their reservations within 48 hours of the scheduled arrival: Change/penalty fees will be waived, and guests will receive a credit for travel up to December 31, 2025, for the number of nights initially booked. When reactivating the reservation or using the credit, it will be honored without any rate difference, provided the same conditions of the original booking are kept.

• Guests already in-house who are unable to depart as scheduled: The resort will provide “distressed passenger” rates as indicated by the resort, on a USD per person, per night, all-inclusive basis, to be paid directly at the hotel. These rates are offered as a special courtesy due to the situation, subsidized by the resort, and not available otherwise.

Please note: this policy is triggered once a Storm Warning has been officially issued for the destination. It remains in effect until the storm conditions have cleared and/or official authorities withdraw the advisory.

All requests are subject to hotel availability & confirmation.

The safety and well-being of our mutual guests is of the utmost importance. Should there be an emergency at the resorts, rest assured that the resort management and staff have the training, resources and experience to enable our guests to weather any storm.
