Included tour description: Whale and Sea Turtle Watching
During the months of August, September, and October, we take you to witness the majestic humpback whales. These giants migrate from Antarctic waters to the northern coast of Peru to reproduce and care for their calves. On this whale-watching tour, you may observe these magnificent creatures breaching, swimming, and diving in groups, or even see the playful behavior of the calves under the watchful eye of their mothers. This marine excursion will take you on a boat ride from Los Órganos to Cabo Blanco, covering a wide route with a 90% success rate for sightings. Guests can also contribute to scientific research by taking precise photos of the ventral side of the whale’s tail for individual identification. You may also spot other species in the convergence zone of the cold Humboldt ecosystem and the warm equatorial ecosystem. On the way back, we will stop near Los Órganos pier for a refreshing swim in the sea. Important: The activity is limited to turtle observation only; there is no contact or interaction with the animals.

Departure: 6:15 a.m. Return: 11:00 a.m.

Includes: Land and marine transportation, marine biologist guides.

Recommendations: Sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuit, beach towel, windbreaker jacket, sunblock, and basic swimming skills.

Minimum age: 6 years

Important: This excursion is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with spinal conditions or recent surgeries. The guide reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who does not meet these requirements or is under the influence of alcohol or drugs (no refund applies). Please note: Depending on weather and sea conditions, this activity may be canceled. Wildlife sightings are subject to natural factors.
