Upstream, you will visit the Ticuna indigenous community of Macedonia, known for its exquisite handicrafts such as tapestries and dolls made from yanchama bark, accessories from seeds, woven chambira backpacks, and other cultural items made from palosangre wood, a highly valued material. These make perfect gifts for loved ones. Continue to Puerto Nariño, the department’s second municipality, a charming town inhabited by both natives and settlers, often called "Colombia’s Nativity Scene."
