"Life, Our Journey" - the new campaign where we highlight our commitment to Sustainability


We are thrilled to have launched our new campaign, "Life, Our Journey," an initiative aimed at raising awareness of the company’s efforts in sustainability and fostering a sense of responsibility for caring for the environment, natural resources, and communities.

"Life, Our Journey" is a comprehensive 360 campaign with which we seek to impact our stakeholders by promoting conscious tourism and building a better future for the planet and future generations.

This campaign will focus on our commitment across three strategic pillars: Environmental, Social, and Governance. In the first, we will emphasize our efforts to reduce carbon footprint, optimize energy and water usage, manage waste, and protect biodiversity. In the second , we’ll highlight our work through the Decameron Foundation, including programs focused on education, social well-being, and sustainable development in the communities of Colombia´s Caribbean Coast. In the third, we will demonstrate our efforts to unify sustainability data on a platform that has enabled us to manage and monitor it more efficiently, along with our commitment to transparency in meeting reporting obligations.

We plan to share this campaign and highlight this initiative’s messaging through our digital channels and hotels on a national and international scale.

SEE WATH´S NEW IN OUR HOTELS


As part of our commitment to excellence, we have embarked on a phased plan to remodel and upgrade our properties. We are renewing the look & feel of our hotels, updating furniture, and developing new spaces and activities for children.

COLOMBIA

DECAMERON GALEÓN

  • Remodeling rooms 10th floor: Rooms with a double bed, two single beds and balconies with sea views, Modern bathrooms.
  • New Mammamia restaurant: Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.

DECAMERON LAS HELICONIAS

  • Infrastructure improvements: Renovation of tiles, railings, columns, ceilings, and baseboards.

DECAMERON PANACA

  • Logo update: Adaptation of the new Panaca park logo.
  • New children's playground: A space for the fun of the little ones.

DECAMERON BARÚ

  • New children's water park: Safe outdoor attractions for children.
  • Theater renovation: New chairs for greater comfort.

  • Sanandresano art: Renovation of the front desk with works by a local artist.
  • Breastfeeding room: New room for female employees.
  • New children's water park: Safe and exciting fun for children.

SAN PEDRO COFFE RESTAURANT

  • Furniture renovation: New chairs, tables, bathroom, and updated restaurant menu.

MEXICO

At Punta Sal, we celebrate the Peruvian Fair every 15 days, offering stands and a thematic stage where guests can enjoy local cuisine.

Additional Updates:

We are conducting and gradual upgrading of safety boxes, room refrigerators, and entertainment billboards at all our hotels to enhance your experience during your stay.

At Decameron Hotels & Resorts, we’re committed to follow the rules and protocols instated by the different health authorities because of the CoVid-19 Pandemic. Along with following the before mentioned, we understand that a new phase of flexibility is taking place. Therefore, the use of facemasks is no longer mandatory inside our hotels.


We understand that this story is not yet over and that some risks remain. Therefore, Decameron stands vigilant and even though it is not mandatory, we strongly suggest you to:

  • Wear a facemask while in closed areas.
  • Practice social distancing with all persons that are not traveling with you (staff and other guests included) and.
  • Wash your hands frequently using water and soap and use antibacterial gel as an added layer of protection.

GUIDELINES REGULATING THE ADMISSION AND CONTROL OF SERVICE PETS IN DECAMERON HOTELS


At Decameron, we guarantee the peace of mind of all guests while taking care of service pets.

It is important to clarify that only service or guide dogs are allowed in the hotels. Emotional support or therapy animals are prohibited.

Allowed Service Animals

Access is only permitted for service dogs, individually trained to assist or perform tasks that a person cannot execute due to a physical, mental, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other disability.

Requirements and Documentation

  • Up to date vaccination card
  • Current certification of health status
  • Identification badge for permanent use.
  • Identification card issued by an authorized institution accrediting the animal as a service pet.

Admission Process

Commercial teams must request authorization for reservations with service animals due to the limitation of pets allowed per hotel. The decision regarding unauthorized pets is exclusive to the management, and with no exemption from conditions and rates.

Control

Pets must always be on a leash or harness and be accompanied at all times. In common areas, you will find spaces specially designed for them. For certain breeds that require it, a muzzle is mandatory.


Deposit and Pet Rules

Rates

There is no charge for pet accommodation.

Security Deposit

  • Refundable at check-out if there are no damages or breaches.
  • Colombia: COP $200,000
  • Ecuador, Panama, El Salvador: USD $50
  • Jamaica: USDJ $7,850
  • Mexico: MX $860
  • Peru: No deposit applies

Guidelines

  • Always pick up after your pet in the designated areas and bring food for your pet; if you use the hotel linens, there will be an extra charge.
  • Please do not bathe your pet inside the hotel or room.
  • Keep it away from wet areas; if you do not, there will be a charge to the deposit.
  • If your pet causes any disturbance, you will receive a warning; if it continues, unfortunately, you will have to leave the hotel.
  • Upon departure, it is necessary to check the room; damages or faults will be deducted from the deposit, with additional charges if exceeding the amount.

Maximum Number of Pets

Maximum of 1 pet per room for the safety and well-being of all.

WE UNDERSTAND THE CURRENT SITUATION AND TEMPORARILY STOP RECEIVING GUESTS IN OUR HOTELS AS OF MARCH 20 TO AUGUST 31.


Comunicado COVID-19

At this time our call center may be busy, if you need to reschedule your trip please take into consideration:

  • If you have a reservation between March 20 and Aug 31, 2020, you must postpone your travel plans to September 1 to December 15, 2020.
  • You may change your reservation without penalty. (According to hotel availability and depending on the rate applicable for the date and the hotel you choose).
  • Your reservation will not be lost. Remember that the validity of use is until December 15, 2020.
  • Our team remains committed to providing you all the necessary support and our Call Center is open to answer questions and help you explore new travel alternatives. To do this, we have extended our service hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m – 8:00 p.m
    • Saturday: 8:00 a.m – 5:00 pm
