We invite adventurers to traverse, through old paths and streams, the path to The Peak, natural reserve and the island's highest mountain. During this excursion you will have the opportunity to communicate with the trees, symbols of patience, strength and humility; to taste fresh, regional fruits which you will find throughout the path. On reaching the summit, you will find an indescribable panoramic vista and enjoy the voices of the silence. "The Peak" rises to 360 meters above sea level, as a sanctuary which invites one to peace and meditation. To finish, enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystalline waters of the beaches of Manzanillo or Southwest.

Manchineel Hill & South Mangroves Paths
The paths which conduct the visitor from the Southwest Sector to "Manchineel Hill," traversing the mountain, offer the possibility of admiring the characteristics of a dry tropical forest. One can also observe the mangroves in the South Mangroves sector (red, black, and button mangroves), the traditional architecture of the Island, immense cotton trees, several species of orchids such as the BRASSAVOLA NODOSA, flower representative of the archipelago and extraordinary fossils of coral origin which allow us to comprehend the geological history of the islands.
You will be delighted by the sounds of nature and the song of migratory birds or those endemic to this region of the Colombian Caribbean. As you go, the guide will narrate history and legends which have had these areas as their scenario. You will enjoy a delicious typical lunch and a refreshing swim at Manzanillo or Southwest beach.

Old Providence and its surroundings are ideal places for concentration, breeding and development of varied species of marine fauna. You will experience the pleasure of feeling the force of a barracuda, a pargo, a jurel or any other fish that answers to your call.

Kayaking & Mangroves in Santa Catalina
Enjoy this activity onboard a double kayak in which you will have the possibility to get acquainted with a portion of the mangroves of Santa Catalina Island (red, black and button mangroves), iguanas, crabs and migratory and endemic birds. This excursion includes a tour of the bay of Providence with a stop at the spectacular beach of Santa Catalina, where snorkeling activity starts in the direction of Morgan's Head. Welcome to Old Providence and Santa Catalina, International Biosphere Reserve, refuge of peace and tranquility. We Afro-Caribbeans are known for carrying rhythm in body and soul, because we are great performers of Caribbean music. During your evenings find out for yourself: "Roland" will light a bonfire on the beach and Reggae and Calypso music will be playing between drinks of rum and an occasional "coco loco." Come and get carried away with the rhythms of the Caribbean at the edge of the immense sea and starry constellations.

Providence and Santa Catalina are surrounded by a coral platform which descends in terraces and walls to some 30 m in depth and from there drops to the great oceanic depths. The platform is crossed by channels and submarine canyons. The coral formations which surround Old Providence and Santa Catalina make up a vast oceanic reef complex, with a coral reef on the edge, secondary barriers and submerged ones, lagoon and ribbon coastal reefs, reef pinnacles, besides patch reefs and lagoon micro atolls. The barrier reef, nearly 33 km long, is the second largest in extension of its type in the Caribbean and one of the largest and most accessible in the world. Because of its singular importance in the western hemisphere, these zones were declared by UNESCO as nucleus zones of the reserve of the "Seaflower" Biosphere; that is, in strict conservation. In the same manner in the year 2005 the reef complex was declared as a Protected Marine Area with multiple uses.
The most habituated sites (more than 30, until now more explored for autonomous diving, are found at the edge of the Sotavento platform, to the west, to which access is gained from boats which take from five to twenty minutes to reach them. Among the most visited sites are found Table Rock the Bight, Blue Hole, Cantil de Santa Catalina, Left Channel, Felipe's Place, Cromis, Contour and Turtle Rock, among others. The Felipe Diving Dive Center has all the necessary infrastructure to permit divers and people who desire to enjoy a diving experience, to make their dives in a safe and fun manner. The qualified instructors (PADI, NAUI and BIS), are great experts on the islands and the sea.

Through this theoretical-practical 3-hour minicourse participants will as an introduction the possibility to begin to discover and enjoy the wonders of the sub aquatic world. The reef complex of Old Providence and Santa Catalina is the ideal place to capture your interest in this fascinating world. It offers very safe diving, with minimum risk of accidents, full visibility to 10 m, very adequate for learners and even children. It is ideal for a detailed observation dive.

Through a double dive get acquainted with the magic of the submarine waters of the Colombian insular Caribbean. On the first dive you will have the opportunity to get into depths of up to 130 feet.
